the THrottlestop
Located just a stone’s throw from Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin’s legendary Road America, The Throttlestop is a unique motorsports destination. Housing a smaller but completely unique collection of museum grade motorcycles for visitors to view as well as in-house detailing, car consignment services, and much more. The stop hired me in 2022 to produce a series of videos to grow their YouTube channel. After a year we more than doubled their subscribers and engagement is way up. We’ve consulted with their in-house team to further our efforts and continue producing high quality content for their channel.
1962 Pontiac catalina 421 ‘superduty’
The rarest of the rare totally aluminum front end special ordered original drag car special that never got molested and beaten on the way most of them did. We did a series of simple interview style videos with the Throttlestop based around a number of vehicles and motos that were special and unique the their collection. They are huge Pontiac fans and have carved out a bit of a niche with their Pontiac knowledge on YouTube. Most of the videos we do have featured car to car rolling motion video which we have been able to incorporate into our productions with limited cost to the customer. This type of footage feels way more involved than straight panning, still or other shots - it is a rare shot to be able to get without a huge budget and crew.
velke design e-type jaguar “le mans”
Old-school coach-builder Dave Welky of Velke design built this wild, wide E-type Jaguar he was consigning through The Throttlestop - we thought it would be a shame not to get this car on camera before it left for it’s new home. We worked with Dave who built the car in another interview-style film to provoke what kind of mindset he was in to be able to conceive and build this vehicle. Humble at heart - Dave was initially hesitant to share all the work that went into this Jag and so much of it would be overlooked without proper documentation. One of my favorite videos done for TTS.
1965 GTO on the Road
The intro to this one says it all.
Rodsmith visits TTS
Having friends in the industry to work on camera is just a perk of working in this business for an amount of time. Craig is a local legend and close friend and was happy to step in front of the camera for TTS to complete a series of interviews and introductions to their motorcycle museum and collection. What better an ambadassador (correct spelling) to have to represent your motors business than someone that exudes knowledge and cool?

After 1 year of working with The Throttlestop we were able to more than double our subscriber base, and increase engagement across the board on TTS’ YouTube channel which was the primary mission for us at the off.
We believe this has a wide impact on businesses vying for exposure on Instagram and Facebook. YouTube is still growing in the way that other outlets were 10+ years ago. Money spent on the platform has trackable analytics which confirm eyes on the brand increases dramatically with regular YouTube activity.
